One of the coolest things about THE Geek Fest is the exhibition area. Much of the first floor of the Levine Campus will be filled with many groups and organizations that come to share with the community. This tradition continues this year with a stellar line-up we know you'll enjoy. 

Catawba College

A four-year college with day and evening programs.

ChickTech Charlotte

Committed to retaining women in the technology workforce and increasing the number of women and girls pursuing technology-based careers. Exhibit will feature information about their upcoming programs for girls to learn technology.

CPCC Architectural Technology

Virtual reality student showcase, including virtual walkthroughs of CPCC architectural technology student work.

CPCC Chess Club at Levine Campus

Boards set up for visitors to play chess with us or others with opportunities for beginners and intermediate players to learn chess.

CPCC Digital Media program

Exhibit features a portable green screen and tricaster to engage students and the community and inform them about what CPCC's Digital Media courses offer.

CPCC Electrical Systems Technology & Electrical Systems Society

Electrical Systems Technology Program at CPCC's includes residential, commercial and industrial wiring; Programmable Logic Controllers, Motors & Controls, Electrical Systems Design, Diagrams & Schematics and Electrical Estimating. We teach students the skills they need to be successful in the Electrical Industry as well as for them to be prepared for state licensing exams.

CPCC Engineering Technology

Making technology work, through demonstrations of engineering principles.

CPCC Graphic Arts & Imaging Technology

A small taste of Graphic Arts & Imaging Technology with the laser engraver/cutter utilized for packaging mock ups and other interesting projects.

CPCC Information Technology Division

Trail of Technology exhibit featuring old and expired forms of technology for participants to touch and learn about.

CPCC Japanese Culture Club

We exist to widen people’s cultural horizons through various forms of Japanese media. Exhibit will include several arcade tables filled with Japanese games and merchandise.

CPCC Mathematics Division

Exhibit features an assortment of games, puzzles, and problems, to entice the mathematician lurking inside of everyone.

CPCC NonDestructive Examination Technology

Exhibit features industrial inspection using radiography, ultrasonics, Eddy current, magnetic particle testing, liquid penetrant testing, and visual inspection.

CPCC Sciences Division

Testing visual acuity using science!

CPCC Welding Technology Program & Club

Showcasing the future of welding as a career.

Liburdi Dimetrics

Liburdi Dimetrics provides quality products and services for welding. Exhibit will feature Orbital Welding Equipment: Fusion System PTW160 & L4000.

NC STEM Alliance: STEM Prep

A community workshop featuring exhibits from various community Makers.

PowerUp USA: Charlotte Black Film Festival

PowerUp USA provides, coding, digital media and film production training. Exhibit will include an interactive Chroma key display with large monitors.

Speed Geek

A display of current and future automotive technologies, featuring Hendrick Automotive group, BMW, Tesla, and others.

SWAG - Student Writers Assembled Guild

This student organization will feature an interactive writing activity for participants. We welcome all writers!

The GRID: Powered by Goodwill

The GRID: Powered by Goodwill is the computer, electronics, and electronic entertainment arm of GWISP. We focus on refurbishing those items to provide affordable computing devices to those who need them, as well as preventing usable electronics from entering local landfills.Laptops, desktops, monitors, keyboards, mice, Raspberry Pi, tablets, headphones, various other electronics and computer items.

Your Local Game Store

We’re a local board game retailer and we will have various games on display.
